Electronic Repairing

The venerable workshop VHS machine has lastly given up after a few years of sterling service. It does not make it into play or file. It will be the loading belt, a small, rubber drive belt that is used to maneuver the parts of the mechanism into it is varied modes. Why do I wish to restore it? As a result of:
1) I can.
2) It is higher repaired than in landfill. I hate to see stuff thrown out.
3) As a result of this machine is superb at recording and enjoying again system A video.

As per standard, unplug the machine from the mains. Do not argue, do it.

There are two screws on the left and proper sides of the highest cowl. Undo them and take away the highest.

There…. put it safely to 1 aspect.
Undo the plastic catches holding the entrance panel on. Three on the highest, two on the edges….

With a little bit of jiggling, the entrance panel will now come off.

Take away the three screws,. indicated with arrows stamped into the bottom plate, I’ve circled them within the photograph.  Put the machine again on it is toes.

Two down the holes conveniently positioned on the cassette housing (the bit that masses the cassette onto the deck)

Whilst you’re there, unplug the cable to the highest of the top amplifier….

 … and the one to the best of the cassette housing, which connects the top sensor..

You must now be capable of take away the deck from the principle board and case and so forth … Simply seize it by the cassette housing and gently pull…

Flip the deck over….

The large belt from the capstan motor to the reel drive gear is simple to get at, so change it now, while we have got the machine aside.
